Jackie Wincroft, a former profiler for the San Francisco Police Department, gave up the job that she loved three years ago when a serial killer threatened her family's life. Jeffrey Calgrove has now escaped from prison and has vowed revenge. Jackie joins forces with her former partner, Sam, to put Calgrove back behind bars. However, the investigation is cut short when it appears the killer died in a car accident, but when Jackie starts receiving mysterious text messages, she is convinced that Calgrove is still alive but everyone else believes it's a paranoid delusion. So, she is on her own to stop a killer bent on revenge, and ensuring the safety of the people she cares most about.
