Georgia "George" Lass, a young college drop out, finds her life unexpectedly snuffed out when a toilet seat from the Mir Space Station falls upon her. George does not realize that she is dead until Rube, the kindly leader of a team of grim reapers, points out her remains. He takes George under his wing and introduces her to the other members of his undead group; people like her, who died with unresolved issues.
