14. Do you provide closed captioning?

Yes, we do. Currently the vast majority of our programming schedule is closed-captioned for the hearing impaired.

15. What is V-chip technology? How is it used?

V-Chip is a technology that allows the broadcaster to embed a rating for a television program into the broadcast stream.

If desired, a viewer can set a “rating limit” on their television set, so that programs with a rating higher than the limit will not be shown.

This is advantageous for parents with children who may want to set their TV to block content with ratings higher than PG. The Canadian Broadcast Standards Council has some great information here.

Super Channel and Super Channel On Demand have the V-chip embedded to provide the ability to limit ratings.

16. Do you develop programs?

We only develop feature-length movies and documentaries. Please see the Producers’ Page on our website for more info.

17. Do you pre-license programs?

We only pre-license Canadian documentaries and series. Please contact us us through our Producers' Page contact form for more information.

18. Do you accept movies for broadcast consideration?
